Brooks Practical Nurse Students Need Your Help
A shortage of residence space means Brooks students coming to Medicine Hat for clinical experience programs need your help. Accommodation is needed for 10 students who will be working long shifts from November 19 to January 15. Can you help with a spare room for a college student? If so, please contact Marie Hasper, Instructor/Coordinator, Practical Nurse Program at 403-362-1482 or mhasper@mhc.ab.ca.

New version of Microsoft Office for MHC Employees
The new version of Microsoft Office is now available for MHC employees. Please note, the program was previously known as the Work At Home (WAH) and is now called the Home Use Program (HUP).

To access your copy of this program:
  • Send an email to CallCentre@mhc.ab.ca requesting the access code.
  • I.T. Services will respond with the website address to go to and the program code needed to order.
  • The member would put in their college email address and the program code and then add the Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus, or the Office 2008 for MAC or both to their cart.
  • The cost is free for a download version, or approximately $11 for a backup DVD order of the software.
The process is directly between the requestor and Microsoft, so I.T. Services is not involved in the process directly other than supplying the program code.
