- Reflect on the Evolution of Rural Human Service Delivery
- Explore the Rural Landscape by examining how to create healthy communities, leverage our resources, and collaborate for community development
- Understand Challenges & Gaps in Human Services considering legal, medical & social work perspectives in their roles, emotional and physical safety, & research uptake
- Foster Vibrant Communities sharing ideas about rural professional development, leadership, & community/college partnerships
- Network & collaborate with community members, educators, researchers, & rural professionals from across the province & identify Alberta-specific rural solutions
- Get a new perspective on partnerships: examine rural integration, collaboration and capacity

One Book One Community

The 8th annual One Book One Community book selection is The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway. Activities for the OBOC event include:
Friday October 12
Esplanade Studio Theatre, 7 p.m.
OBOC and the Esplanade present an evening with author Steven Galloway. A musical performance by the Community Orchestra, book sales, and reception will follow.
Saturday October 13
Medicine Hat College, 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Book discussions and other activities, including a presentation by Terry Chapman and Peter Mueller. A highlight for the day will be discussions lead by special guests who lived through the Siege of Sarajevo and now call Medicine Hat home.
