Rattler Run

The runners are out in full force enjoying the spring weather and the countdown is on until the Rattler Run on April 28. This is Medicine Hat's kick-off to the running season and a great event. Choose from 3, 5 and 10 Km races surrounding our beautiful campus. Registration is live at http://www.rattlerrun.ca/.
If you aren't a runner but would still like to be part of the fun, there's always room for volunteers. Rattler Run volunteers fill a number of roles including course marshals, safety cyclists, water stations, finish line, etc. All RR 'Race Crew' members get a t-shirt, and invite to post-race social in the Crave.

Amazing Families, Amazing Children

Bill Gordon will share his view on the top ten qualities of positive family climates and encourage participants to celebrate their own unique and amazing abilities. Mr. Gordon is a teacher and counsellor, and a leading authority on empowering families to positive mental health and happy social environments.
A resource fair will begin at 6:00 p.m. to offer supplementary community resource and family information. This event is presented by Southeast Alberta Health and Education Partners.

Steps for Life Walk

Medicine Hat College is once again supporting the Steps for Life Walk, set to take place on Sunday, May 6. This 5 km walk will begin at 1 p.m. and participants will walk the beautiful grounds of the college and Kin Coulee Park. The Steps For Life Walk supports Threads of Life programs and services for families who have suffered from a workplace tragedy. The program also raises awareness about the importance of health and safety within the workplace.
The walk will be aimed at family fun, with safety activities for the whole family following the event. Organizers also encourage team entries, so get your department together and enter as a team.

Sapper Stephan Stock Memorial Walk for Valour Place

10 a.m.
The proceeds from this memorial walk for MHC alumnus Sapper Stephen Stock will benefit Valour Place. Valour Place, the first facility of its kind in Canada, will provide a home for injured soldiers, veterans, RCMP and their families when in Edmonton for medical treatment and rehabilitation.
Open to all friends, family, military and the general public in support of our troops. Walk all or part of the route and show your support. Click here for more information or to register.
