Qi Gong – A Moving Meditation

April 2 – May 14
7 – 8 p.m.  H131

The word Qi means Life Force and Gong means to work with or master. Qi Gong is the way to cultivate this energy and use it to heal and strengthen every system throughout the body. By combining gentle stretches, strengthening postures, and flowing movements, Qi Gong opens the body and its energy system in a blissful and therapeutic way. Qi Gong flow routines can be learned very quickly, and they are perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels. Qi Gong’s gentle, rhythmic exercises combined with simple breathing techniques become a moving meditation. Register through Continuing Studies by March 26, 2012. The cost for the 6-week session is $99. The instructor is Deanna Ries.
