World Leader in Athletics Development to Speak in Medicine Hat

The Alberta Sport Development Centre and Medicine Hat Minor Hockey are pleased to announce that a world leader in Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) is coming to Medicine Hat to educate the community on how to effectively nurture life-long participation and enjoyment of sports among young people.
This free event is open to affiliates of MHMH, parents, coaches, administrators and board members of recreational youth athletics program including little league baseball, swimming, minor soccer, football, rugby and others.
Dr. Stephen Norris will discuss how to weave LTAD principles into the fabric of sports organizations so they can become a guiding light to promote healthy recreational choices that last a lifetime.
Norris’ process encourages patterns to ensure kids stay active, healthy and loving sports, by helping them receive a broad base of athletic skill in a variety of sports, instead of putting all their eggs in one basket.

MHC Children's Christmas Party

All staff are invited to bring out your children or grandchildren to the Children’s Christmas Party. There will be jumping castles for the smaller children and a larger obstacle course maze for the bigger children. Decorating activities and glitter tattoos will add to the fun. A meal will follow at 3 p.m. in the cafeteria and treat bags will be distributed by Santa himself. Please confirm your attendance by calling the Faculty Association office at 504-3616 or by email.

Students looking to sell their textbooks for a bit of holiday cash can attend the book buyback event. Bring all CDs, DVDs, and supplemental materials pruchased with your textbooks.
The service is available Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
