Please be aware the Medicine Hat police tactical squad will be conducting an armed intruder response exercise on campus. There will also be testing of the new Emergency broadcast system at this time. All messages will be prefaced with the words “Exercise, Exercise, Exercise” and can be disregarded. The exercise will involve the front entrance to the college up to the third floor of the B wing.
College Day

College Day kicks off the 2011-12 academic year. The keynote speaker for this year will be Linda Edgecombe. Linda is an internationally renowned, award-winning humorous speaker, trainer and consultant. She is a best-selling author who energizes every room as she leads people to loosen up, lighten the load and laugh. Linda will be leading MHC through an educational, hands-on and highly humorous ride that will refocus, reenergize and reinvent how we see our lives and work.

Geekapalooza

Family Orientation 2011

Room S159 4 to 6 p.m.
MHC is hosting a family orientation session Thursday, September 1. Families get to learn about the many services offered to students. They tour the campus, gather information and have their questions answered.
The event includes free pizza. Families should register ahead by phoning 403-529-3819.
College Garage Sale
September 9 and 10
The recent construction blitz has resulted in a large volume of furniture to clear out. MHC staff has the first chance to purchase items before the sale is open to the public.
Come down to the Kipling compound with your college ID from noon to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 9. Items available include computer towers, monitors, televisions, filing cabinets, tables, desks, chairs, shelving units and bulletin boards.
The sale is open to the public Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cash sales only.
Shake Rattler N' Roll
September 16 and 17
MHC's annual homecoming celebration will take place September 16 to 17. Friday night, our alumni are invited back on campus for our Alumni Cabaret featuring and on Saturday everyone is welcome to bring the whole family on campus for a fantastic day of free events - The ATB Family Fun Zone, Rattlers Men's and Women's soccer, fireworks and of course -- musical acts to keep you grooving all evening! We're thrilled to announce that this year's headliner act will be Canadian hit makers Bedouin Soundclash!
