Voting Info for Students in Residence
The Local Authorities Election Act, Section 48 governs the Rules of Residence for voting.
The Act states that a student who temporarily rents accommodation for the purpose of attending an educational institution is not considered to be living at their permanent residence. Rather, their permanent residence is where the student’s family members who are residents of Alberta live and with whom the student ordinarily resides when not attending an educational institution.
Students can only vote at the voting station assigned to their permanent address.
Canada Savings Bonds have gone on-line!
Saving money doesn’t have to be challenging. Purchase the Canada Savings Bond (CSB) through the Payroll Savings Program for a safe, simple and secure way to plan ahead.
By participating in the Payroll Savings Program, your bond purchases are deducted from each pay and start earning interest as soon as we receive your funds.

NISOD Innovation Abstract: College Writing for Non-Writers
In "College Writing for Non-Writers," LindaLee Massoud, Professor of Computer Information Systems, at Mott Community College (MI), describes a strategy for helping students compose essays, using templates that are instructor-directed and pre-written. The results are admittedly similar, but very well written, essays that students report make them think more deeply about and understand more clearly the models they can use for future writing.
