Based on the 2012 Student Satisfaction Survey, 93% of students are still largely satisfied with their experience at MHC, however, overall ratings are down slightly from previous years. The downturn in ratings was most noticeable in the perceived benefits of education, and in the percentage of students who would recommend their program and MHC to someone else. At the same time, satisfaction with college services and facilities remains high. Voluntary student comments attest to great appreciation for faculty and staff.
The Medicine Hat College Student Satisfaction Survey has been conducted annually since 2005. The results are used to benchmark the level of student satisfaction with both program of study and the college as a whole. It was administered entirely online this year and the college saw a significant increase in participation with 840 students fully completing the survey.
50/50 Winner
Congratulations to Danny Wilson, trades innovation coordinator, who hit the jackpot of $935 with June's Project 50/50 draw.
"The 50/50 project is great for students in need and I'm happy to be involved, but I never expected to win," said Danny, adding that the news couldn't have come at a better time as he's off to Las Vegas this week.
That makes the third winner in three months to travel to Sin City around the same time they won cash with Project 50/50, so you might want to consider pledging $10/month and booking your Vegas vacation today!
