The Human Rights Public Awareness Committee is coordinating a video display related to tolerance in the cafeteria from 11n a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 16. Also look for informational displays starting Nov. 14 in Centennial Hall. For more information contact Leigh Cunningham.
Spirit Day
Thursday, Nov. 17
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to enter their names at the raffle table in the Starbucks hallway from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on each of these days. A variety of prizes will be drawn for and winners will be notified that afternoon. However, everyone wearing MHC/Rattlers attire or black AND gold clothing will be given a second ballot to enter for the grand prize draws, which will take place at the November 4 and 18 Rattlers games.
Winners must be at the game in which their name is called to win. As the last Spirit Day, the grand prize winner was not present at the Oct. 20 Rattlers game. The next grand prize includes a digital camera AND an iPod. Spirit Day grand prizes will continue to accumulate in this fashion.
Rattlers Day
Friday, Nov. 25
In anticipation of the legendary Prairie Mountain Cup Challenge against the Lethbridge Kodiaks, the Campus Life Events Committee has declared November 25 as Rattlers Day. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to wear their Rattlers wear to support our volleyball team as they vie against Lethbridge to win this challenge. The Rattlers Tattoo patrol will be walking through the halls to help spread support for our team.
AUPE Kids' Party

Downtown YMCA
Children of local AUPE employees are invited to attend this fun day of swimming, rock climbing, a bouncy house and a visit from Santa Claus. The event is free and includes pizza, veggies and fruit beginning at noon.

Ugly Sweater Day

Everyone is encouraged to wear their ugliest sweaters for a chance to win some great prizes. Anyone wanting their sweaters to be judged should meet outside of CRAVE at 12:15 p.m.
World Leader in Athletics Development to Speak in Medicine Hat

The Alberta Sport Development Centre and Medicine Hat Minor Hockey are pleased to announce that a world leader in Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) is coming to Medicine Hat to educate the community on how to effectively nurture life-long participation and enjoyment of sports among young people.
This free event is open to affiliates of MHMH, parents, coaches, administrators and board members of recreational youth athletics program including little league baseball, swimming, minor soccer, football, rugby and others.
Dr. Stephen Norris will discuss how to weave LTAD principles into the fabric of sports organizations so they can become a guiding light to promote healthy recreational choices that last a lifetime.
Norris’ process encourages patterns to ensure kids stay active, healthy and loving sports, by helping them receive a broad base of athletic skill in a variety of sports, instead of putting all their eggs in one basket.

Ken Steele will be presenting the results from the applicant surveys that were conducted this summer. This will provide us with an idea of the perceptions applicants have of MHC.
