Allen VandenBerg Project 50/50 Winner

Congratulations to Allen VandenBerg, the April winner of Project 50/50. Allen won $255 and the other $255 is going into the Students' Greatest Needs Scholarship.

"What a pleasant surprise to donate to such a worthy cause and then get this bonus. I think the 50/50 draw is a great way to remind us that many of our students put in great effort to participate at Medicine Hat College. Although the investment in education lasts a lifetime it comes with a price and to be able to help students who might otherwise struggle to continue is very gratifying.

The Students’ Greatest Needs Scholarship looks each year at where our students need help and attempts to ease that burden for some. That kind of flexibility makes it an especially exciting way to assist our students. I hope more people get involved and have the satisfaction of contributing directly to our students as this project goes forward. There are many ways to help – this is a fun one! Good luck next month to all those involved," said VandenBerg.

Stop by College Advancement and drop off your $10. You can also fill out a pledge form at Human Resources for automatic payroll deductions that will make you eligible for the June draw.

Please note, donations to this project are not eligible for charitable tax receipts due to CRA regulations. For a complete list of rules, please visit this page.
