MHC's current security contract expires in 2011 and the Office of EH&S is looking for assistance in developing requirements for the next contract. If you are interested in shaping what security will look like on our campus for the next five years, please contact Rodger Sloan at ext. 8439.
Campus Parking Town Hall Meeting
Are you passionate about parking? Mad about motoring? Then come out and express your views at a parking town hall meeting. There will be a presentation on our current parking situation as well as potential solutions for the future. Sign up for the “Parking Development Committee” which will assist MHC in developing new policy and solutions as we continue to grow.
Christmas Tree Decorating Contest
Christmas is just around the corner and the Campus Life Events Committee would like to get that festive spirit started on campus with a Christmas Tree contest. Judging will coincide with the last day of classes on December 3 so if your area thinks they have the best decorated Christmas tree, please email Shelly Drefs by 12:00 noon on December 2 and let her know that you would like the judges to visit your area on December 3. The winning area will receive a DQ Ice Cream Cake and the highly coveted engraved tree ornament. The ornament will remain on the winning area’s tree until the 23 of December and then will be returned to the Campus Life Events Committee to pass on to subsequent winners in the years to come.
Bike Racks
Please be advised that most bicycle racks on campus will be put away in the coming weeks to facilitate snow clearing. For those still wishing to bike to work during the winter months there will be one bike rack left outside of G Wing on the bark mulch and one near the north Trades entrance on the grassed area. All other racks will be put in storage - along with any bikes attached to them. Bicycles that have been placed in storage can be collected by making arrangements (with proof of ownership) at the Security office.
